Our purpose is to help you hear the grace of Jesus in these verses so that your life may find its grounding in Christ alone. Pastor David and Elisabeth Serner share their calling that led them to serve a Danish Lutheran Church in Jerusalem. They share their story of the path that led them to this ministry. They also help us understand the challenges of being parents there. In addition David is the co-author of a book on Messianic Jews in Israel. These believers have carried a vital role during the war. A second part of the interview will be posted next week as it relates to a new seminary that is being founded in Jerusalem.

God has called you to use your home for blessing the people around you. How is this working for you? Please talk to others today in worship how people are using whatever housing our Lord has provided for you to bless the people around you. Our Christian families in Rabalya, Gaza used the schools to minister to others suffering from the war. They were forced out of one home when it was destroyed by a bomb but then they spread out to four different schools to do their ministry. They are still reaching out to help those around them. Pray for these Christians today. And then pray to our Lord for how the Spirit is encouraging you to use your dwelling as a ministry for Jesus.

(Our granddaughter Magda wrote her thoughts about what’s happening in the photo at Mount Carmel. She was there two weeks ago with us and her family ). “Morning praise at Mount Carmel is a great way to connect and communicate with your family, prayer partner, and Jesus. The daily reflection questions get you thinking about your actions. This time really makes me open up and talk about my feelings, and choices I have made. I can freely talk about my hardships, and decisions that affect my life. This helps me reflect and connect more with God to improve my overall relationship with the people around me, and build a more strong overall connection with myself, and my faith. This is why I really value morning praise at Mount Carmel.”
