Happy Valentine’s Day! Jeff and Mim discuss how the LORD guards the lives of his faithful and grants them comfort in the Holy Spirit. We wish you a blessed day of expressing gratitude for your loved ones. Today, we reflect on the example of Mavis’ (Mim’s Mother) life and what we have gleaned from her and want to emulate in our own life. At the end, we share a family bedtime prayer that Mavis sang to her children that has been passed along to the generations.
He guards the lives of his faithful; he rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 97:10
Meanwhile the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and was built up. Living in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
Acts 9:31
Lord, thank you for making me yours. You guard me and guide me. May I bring your comfort and peace to all who need your protection. Today, use my hands as a sign of peace, a welcome embrace, so others may experience your faithfulness. Let my heart become a valentine for all you give me in your name. Amen.
