Old Testament Verse

But if you do not obey the Lord, and if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you, as it was against your ancestors.
1 Samuel 12:15 NIV

New Testament Verse

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to walk with Jesus, grateful for all he does in me. Forgive me for praying for your will to be done when really wanting my will to be done. Help me to stay connected to my Lord and Savior. When I walk with him, I abound in thanksgiving. Amen.
