Our podcasts are 5-8 minutes in length. We create these messages using one or two brief verses from the Bible that come from a devotional book. Our purpose is to help you hear the grace of Jesus in these verses so that your life may find its grounding in Christ alone. It is this grounding in grace that makes forgivin’ livin’ your way of freedom.

00Beholding Our Lord (Is 53:3; John 19:5)
Despised and rejected! What do you see when you see Jesus? Where do you see Him? How do you live differently because of the way you BEHOLD the Lord Jesus Christ? As you can see from the photo, our brothers and sisters in Gaza have much to behold. What about you? What devastation in your life is your Lord working on to bring something despised and rejected to new life? Ask! Trust! And remember, God is able!

00( Theta ) Ancient Paths (Jeremiah 6:16 & Hebrews 6:11 12)
Men are often teased for not asking for directions. But it’s a human problem. Actually not really human, because if you are really human, you will be hum…ble as well. Human and humility; their roots go together. But our pride raises us above our “humus,” earthy self. It gives us illusions about our need to be in control. Our sick secret is you never ask for help when you believe you are in control. Faith changes this. We discover our real humanness when we learn to knock, to seek and to ask. God’s will is to help us to learn to be humble by inviting us to ask Him for help. Then we discover what it truly means to be human. We are free to ask. Free to enjoy the fellowship of people who know they need each other to be earthy, to be real, to be human beings. Practice some of the statements above by asking God for help today. See what happens. Then use one or two of these with someone else. It may be your first discovery of what it means to be human.

00(Irishcast) Impartial Loving (Lev 19:15; James 2:1) 2
The first known representation of blind Justice is Hans Gieng's 1543 statue on the Fountain of Justice in Bern, Switzerland. Since that time, Lady Justice has often been depicted wearing a blindfold understood to represent impartiality. Sometimes the blindfold was meant to imply that justice has been blind to the injustices that have gone before. But what about love? How can love be completely impartial; free from prejudice and judgment. Is there anyone who could be outside the scope of God’s love? Is there anyone outside the scope of your love? Today’s podcast will give you the chance to think this over and to lead you to seek help from the One who is love.

00(Sundaycast) Fragrant Forgiveness (Ezekiel 3:1; Matt 13:23)
Bearing fruit for God hundredfold, sixtyfold and thirtyfold begins with forgiving the people whose sins crush you. Like the violet, you will be stepped on in life. People will trespass on you as Jesus says in our Lord’s Prayer. What fragrance you exude depends on what your life is being lived for. Living for Jesus creates the fragrance Jesus gave when He was crushed.

Jeff and Mim discuss the question: What is Jesus best known for among people throughout the world? Would people talk about his miracles? If so, which ones? Would they talk about his parables and teachings? If so, which ones? Would they talk of his crucifixion, death and resurrection? They ponder whether we would know anything of Jesus (what he said and did) were it not for his crucifixion and resurrection. Jeff shares a personal story of his first communion when the gospel of Jesus Christ, the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting, became a living message of hope for him. Jeff also draws attention to Rembrandt’s paint of Jesus breaking bread with the two disciples in Emmaus — only then did they recognize him as the Christ. We can know Jesus today in his word and in his cup of blessing. What does communion mean for you?

Today’s verses reveal the nature of our divided heart and how only one person can bring us together. That person is Jesus. He took our hardened heart into himself and gave us in exchange His heart that is the only possibility of true unity. United with God, the Father, the Holy Spirit and Himself, this heart is the one that we receive by grace through faith as a gift. Treasure this blessing that unites you together with God for eternity.
