(Irishcast) God My Strength And My Portion (Psalm 73v26; Rev 3v7 8) (Sovereignty)

For the third day in a row we have a picture of our God opening and closing opportunities around us. Doors close. Doors open. God is behind them. We can become frustrated. We can become bitter. We can also rest in the sovereignty of our God who has chosen us and promises to dwell within us whether doors are open or closed. In God we trust. But even more, what does Jesus tell us about Himself? (John 10:9) “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” This DOOR never closes but is always open because our Lord is THE door. Today, look to Jesus to help you understand how He is your door in any circumstance of trouble or difficulty you are going through. Go through Him, your door.

Prayer

Merciful Lord, I am grateful for the strength you offer in my frailty. I turn away from moments when doubt clouds my faith. Assist me in relying on you as my unshakable foundation. As you have unlocked doors for the faithful, direct my steps in obedience. In your steadfast presence, I discover genuine security. Amen.
