(Irishcast)God’s Covenant Love To Us (Dan 9v4 5 Jn 6v37)(Grace)

When we feel guilty, we are afraid we will be punished for what have done. As a result, the last thing we want to do is to tell the truth about our wrongdoing. “Maybe they didn’t see me.” “Maybe they won’t miss it.” We all know our ways of scheming to avoid being honest. So today, Daniel is honest. He speaks for his nation. “We are wrong. We have sinned.” Confessing our sins as a nation is rare. But it has been done. And we need to hear these words. It may not be by a leader but the confession could be done by any one of us who leads. Do we have to be afraid of telling the truth to Jesus? Today Jesus makes it very clear. “When you come to me, I will never drive you away. No matter how often you need to come. No matter if it’s the same reason as last time. Just know that I will receive you. I will forgive you. I love you.” So what more do you need? Go to Jesus.

Prayer

Amazing Lord, your covenant of love covers all my sins. You forgive my wrongs and take me into your fold. Thank you for holding me fast through all these days. As I realize the reality of your unconditional love, help me reach out to someone I have resented. Send me your Spirit to be released into forgiveness. Amen.
