“Comfort, comfort ye my people,” says your God. From Isaiah 40 we hear the voice of God speaking comfort to His people. Throughout the Bible, this is the voice that brings comfort to lost sheep. Our Good Shepherd is searching for us who are lost. Today’s texts reflect this promise of being held in the large hand of God. When we are held, we rest in His grace. His protection. This is what you will hear in today’s podcast. Hearing this word of comfort personally spoken to us and for us.
The LORD is the strength of his people.
Psalm 28:8
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and through grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope, comfort your hearts and strengthen them in every good work and word.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
You, Lord, are my strength and my salvation. I am grateful for new life in you. You give me an eternal perspective, comfort, and hope for today and the future. Teach me to know, to protect, and especially to live the truth. Strengthen my spirit. Enable me to be a powerful witness through good works and words. Amen.
