Here are a few questions about knowing that Jesus is your friend, a friend of sinners. Here are some questions that you may consider asking based on what you know about Jesus. How do you experience friendship with Jesus? How is this friendship different than earthly friendships? How has your understanding of Jesus as a friend shaped how you view forgiveness and grace in your life? How does knowing Jesus intercedes for you and prepares a place for you affect your daily trust and hope?
Return to your God; hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.
Hosea 12:6
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the foremost. But for that very reason I received mercy, so that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display the utmost patience as an example to those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
1 Timothy 1:15-16
Precious Jesus, thank you for coming into the world to save sinners such as me. Too often I stray from the path. I appreciate your patience and mercy when I return to you and confess my sins. Instill in me a true commitment to love and justice. You fill me with eager hope to spend eternity with you. Amen.
