(Irishcast) God’s Treasures For You (Deut 29v29 Col 2v2 3) (Grace)
Tuesday before Lent begins is called “Mardi Gras” (“Fat Tuesday”) or Shrove Tuesday. It marks the end of the Carnival season . Carnival is the entire period from January 6 (Epiphany) until Lent begins. The biggest celebrations take place during the past seven days which ends tonight. At midnight the music stops. The noise is gone and the stillness is overwhelming. This amazing contrast that you experience in some communities around the world will one day be known by everyone when the noise of this world ends on the day Jesus returns. It will be overwhelming. And we will all be silent. “Every knee will bow…”. But until Christ returns, the midnight silence tonight is the closest we will get to what that day may sound like.
